Pretty but a pain

My cat loves this fountain and she's drinking a lot more water now, and it is very pretty BUT

Water easily spills out of the fountain when a cat is drinking out of it, or if you've put even slightly too much water in the reservoir. I've had to put a silicone mat underneath it because it would create a huge puddle that would seep into my wood floor. I also can't use the replaceable filter with this because it causes the water to pool before it has time to drain, thus spilling over the edge.

This fountain would be perfect if the sides were just a millimeter or two higher, and if the pump came with a white cord instead of black, because the cord sticks out like a sore thumb.

Not worth the money I spent on it for the frustration it's given me. But hey, when it's freshly topped off, cleaned, and the mat I've put underneath it is clean and dry, my cat loves it. All other times this fountain is turned off.
