This was a great purchase! It’s so beautiful in person and my cat loves it. The thoughtful details like the carrot to play and the posts to scratch are very much appreciated by me and my cat.
The initial draw of this cat tree for me, were the cute colors and the overall vibes! It matches my aesthetic perfectly! Once I put it together, I really liked how tall and sturdy it was. My cat is really loving it! The only negative thing I can about this cat tree is that it seems better suited for smaller cats. Although my boy is well under 12 lbs, he doesn’t seem comfortable lounging on the smaller perches.
I received this early last week and when i went to put it together, it was missing two different screws, one of which is an extremely specialized screw that has proven to be impossible to find locally. I contacted customer service and they offered a $10 credit or to ship the screws to me. I opted for the second option since the one screw is so specialized. It’s been quite a few days now and i’m still waiting for them to send tracking info, as they said it had to come from China. I have a cat tower sitting in my living room that is very unsteady because of these missing screws and i’m disappointed that there weren’t any other options to fix my problem, not to mention that the screws should have been included in the first place.
This tree replaces an earlier model because the sisal scratching post frayed badly after several years of enthusiastic use. Because the manufacturer changed I had to order this new model.
My cat loves her tree. I couldn’t give it 5 stars because now that all supports are made with sisal, I’m concerned about their durability. Will I have to replace all of them in several years? Moreover, when the sisal frayed, the fibers scattered all over the house. I was concerned that my cat could swallow the fibers if they caught in her paws or fur, and I had to clean up the mess every day.
Meanwhile, I gave away the old tree to someone handy enough to rewrap the frayed post. Lots of people were interested in acquiring that tree, which is in great shape, aside from the posts.
I preferred the older model, but wish the post were woven differently, perhaps from different fiber that wouldn’t fray with use so quickly, like here other scratching posts.
