Transformable Cat Tree

The way I received this was weird. I ordered the cat tree. The site accepted my PO box address, but then I got an email saying they couldn't use a PO box and needed my street address. I confirmed. Soon, I got another email saying the cat tree wasn't available anymore and asked if I wanted the "hammock style" one. The pictures in the product info when you click on each option are exactly the same, so I didn't know which was which. Support replied with the correct photo, and I said it was acceptable. Then I got an email saying the following:
"After urgent discussions regarding your order, we’ve decided to prioritize your request to ensure you receive the product as soon as possible. We will take immediate action by setting aside one unit from this batch before it is fully processed and stocked. We will then inspect the condition of the item to ensure it meets our quality standards.
Once verified, we will ship it to you using expedited shipping (via truck dispatch + express delivery).
We will send out this package this week!"
I got it 7 days later. I never got an email saying when it shipped or sending me a tracking number. They wouldn't let me use a PO Box, but it arrived at my post office.
A lot of the wooden pieces arrived chipped, cracked, and/or stained, which makes me wonder if what I got was already used. Instructions are not clear--some of the holes are countersunk, but the one on the small post isn't and it's not cushioned, so it just sticks out, and I think I might have to take the whole thing off. The hammock fabric is really stretchy, not in the way where it stretches back, so I don't know how it will hold up, and it's only held on by dowel rods? The offset circle with the little fencing had the holes drilled THE WRONG DIRECTION so the little fence part doesn't really protect my cat from falling off the side. So either I turn it part way underneath the hammock, so it's unusable, or I let it be and hope my cat doesn't fall off.
There were little bugs crawling on it too? The half moon part was really difficult to put together, and the fact that only three of them are screwed together with little screws does not inspire confidence.
For the cost of this tree, I'm disappointed and concerned. This whole thing just seemed really sketchy so I won't be purchasing from Happy and Polly in the future.
One star because it is quite sturdy and my 18-lb cat didn't knock it down.
I took a bunch of photos and two videos (one of the bugs and one of how rickety the half moon part is)... and the upload button underneath the review box *doesn't work.*. Again, sketchy.

Amazing. Excellent quality and easy to assemble. my cats love it. Also it arrived super quick.

Way more sturdy than most cat trees, I have large cats and I do not worry about them tipping it over which has been an issue with other brands of cat trees.

Beautiful color. Aesthetically pleasing. Cats took to it quickly.
