I feel the photos and title are misleading. There is no way this is an XL cat tree. This would be great for kitties, but in no world does this work for either of my adult cats. They can’t fit on the platforms to jump on, let along play or lounge on it. Extremely disappointed as the design and colors are super cute, but unfortunately it’s unusable for my cats and too expensive to pay for return shipping to receive a refund. Wish I wouldn’t have spent the money.
I bought this tree because I added another kitty to the family and my smaller Happy and Polly tree only had a platform for one kitty to sleep on. Both kitties play on this non-stop and hope to get to the very top platform before the other. My new kitty does a gymnastics routine every morning and is obsessed with the dangling carrot feature. Neither of them have gone into the bottom enclosure because they’re both obsessed with being tall.

Pros:
-it’s cute and colorful
- he LOVES the carrot
- it’s tall
- lots of scratching posts
- lots of hidey holes/ platforms, etc
Cons:
- not very sturdy. Very wobbly.
- although i wouldn’t want a larger cat tree, the platforms are very small. My kitten is pretty small (5-10 lbs?) and he barely fits on the platforms.
- the pink tunnel is NOT secured! He’s interested in it but it only has one attachment point (a screw at the top) so the rest of it wobbles. So he’ll never sit in it. I tried screwing it in tighter to make it more secure but then the screw bore through the top of the platform and now there’s a big bump on it that won’t go back down, even though i loosened the screw.
- the cat house was made inside out. The carpet should be inside the cat house for comfort but they made the carpet on the back for some reason. (Even though the big green leaf is not carpeted on the back!) So i put the carpet inside so now i cant screw it in to the rest of the cat tree.
- the cat house and the big green leaf should be carpeted front and back so it’s comfy for the cat but also so that you don’t have to put it against a wall to hide the bare wood pulp board in the back.
