Cute, but doesn't stay up

This is cute, but is basically unusable. A combination of the top being heavy and the sides being thin means this does not stay standing. I see they've replied to other reviews saying that it takes time for the foam to recover from shipping. I assumed this was the case, but it's been months and it's still unusable.

Super cute! But mine won’t stay up

It’s so cute and fluffy! I love it but the top is too heavy for the base and won’t stay up. Is there anyway I can keep it up? I might have to alter it to get it to stand

Sadly, this mushroom bed was a big disappointment. It came squashed into a small box, so the foam sides were out of shape badly. They’ve yet to regain their shape, too, and the red top is heavy enough that it bows the sides out and pushes down on the opening, making it only about big enough for a kitten. I even went to the extreme of sewing dowel rods in four places on the inside, but it still squats under the weight of the red cap. My cats are grown and have yet to go inside. It’s very soft; I hoped they’d eventually give it a try, but so far no go. I’m disappointed that it didn’t end up looking anything like the picture on the website.
