Monster World Cat Tree

I was really excited about this cat tree and everything worked perfectly except the monster head wouldn’t sit flush to the stem. I had a couple different people try to troubleshoot the issue because I thought maybe it was me. We all followed the directions to a T and none of us could get it set up properly. I sent a video to customer service and they said oh the screw isn’t aligned properly readjust that and it should be fine, as if this wasn’t something multiple people had considered. You also clearly see in the video the screw goes in just fine and turns until it can’t go any further, if it was an adjustment issue I don’t think the screw would’ve been able to turn at all. We all thought we were going crazy so we took the cat tree to Home Depot and had them look at it. They confirmed our suspicions and said yes the stem is defective. They said a shorter screw might work but since it’s a metric screw which is not typically used in the US it would be difficult to find an adequate replacement. They fixed it by stabilizing it with five washers.
This is not a cheap cat tree, I really shouldn’t have to spend additional money at Home Depot to get it set up properly.
Lesson learned: if something looks cute and is advertised frequently on social media it’s probably made cheaply and any customer service will be the bare minimum.
Honestly just buy a dupe on amazon. At least if it’s not made right you know you’ll get your money back.

My cat absolutely loves this! She always takes her midday naps in it. Whenever I can’t find her, she’s usually in this cat tree! Great quality cat tree is as well. Definitely not cheaply made.

My cat loves her piranha nest. She’ll curl up in it for hours.
